Mixtape Movements

So yeah, we know there's been tentative dates set for the next mixtape to drop, and yeah, those dates have not been met, but listen, since there's so much anticipation for this project and since it is our definitive masterpiece to date, we are in no rush to put out anything less than epic and we still have a few tracks to finish and touch up before we can put the final product together. I'd say the mixtape is about 93.5% complete and our MC engineer extraordinaire Alpha is currently wrapping up his final verses while mixing all the tracks to make them sound smoooove as butta. IN this picture, you see Aphillyated and Alpha scribing their verses for the final track on the disc. The song's called survival and it's lyrical manslaughter over an insanely intricate beat blessed by my dude Felli, AKA Keenan Fel. This kid is on some whole other inventive shit with his sound and it's absolutely refreshing to hear, so check him out on myspace and see why we're in a different realm these days. Other than that, No more release dates but its coming so soon you should really just stop worrying, Prepare 4 The C-Sons and know that when they arrive, your worlds will never be the same. This shit is EPIC people! Peace & Love

Emptiness- Tao Te Ching

"The life which is unexamined is not worth living"
-Socrates

Today is tuesday, the 13th day of the New Year and while we are gearing up for the 9:00 show at the Annex in NYC tomorrow, we're also taking the time to question life and the mental construction of perceived realities which govern our society.

We here at the movement would like to encourage everyone to join us for the sake of yourselves and to read, examine, converse about, and question the eternal, intuitive energy that we call life and also our concepts of reality, that is to say, observed "life" filtered through the imagination of the individual and interpreted to the cohesion of the collective.

We feel it is important to think, or more accurately, to identify with the incessant streams of thoughts in our heads and to guide those rivers towards the vast sea of understanding and knowledge and ultimately, past the surface and into the infinite depths of being. If you take everything at face value, accepting the common, constructed consensus of reality, how can you be in control of your life if you don't even control your own interpretation of that life. Wake up from your naps people. SHouts to the homie Navpreet Tung, it's been too long my dude.

My present stream of thought flows like so: The structure stands to support content. The content of those structures varies and no two are completely identical. The tallest structure with the greatest content is perceived to be the most powerful, but ultimately, all structures are unstable. Content is important but superfluous, for what will you have left when your structure eventually crumbles?

Let it marinate.

And also, I just bought the Tao Te Ching by Lao Tzu. It is translated as the "book of the way and it's power" and it is profoundly beautiful in the simplicity and depth of it's texts. I encourage everyone to find this book at some point in your lives and to read it with an open mind. It could change the way you see the world if you let it. Here is an excerpt discussing the importance of emptiness. It speaks to space-consciousness as opposed to our usual object-consciousness and it's SO REAL!

We put thirty spokes together and call it a wheel;
But it is on the space where there is nothing that the usefulness of the wheel depends.
We turn clay to make a vessel;
But it is on the space where there is nothing that the usefulness of the vessel depends.
We pierce doors and windows to make a house;
And it is on these spaces where there is nothing that the usefulness of the house depends.
Therefore just as we take advantage of what is, we should recognize the usefulness of what is not.

And let that marinate until you come to the show tomorrow! Be there or be elsewhere but wherever you are, just be PEACE!

No Breaks for Break

Whats good to all the Gods, Earths, Suns, and Moons out there.  Hoping everyone's breaks are going well so far and the report cards aren't too bad to show to your rents.  Just because it's winter break doesn't mean The Movements decelerating one bit.  We tend to get scattered across the globe every now and then, but as the distance increases between us and you (our beloved fans in this crusade to consecrate the conscious and combat the conflict against coexistence) the music will bring us all closer.  I know we're overdue so keep your ears tuned for weekly additions to the myspace beginning the top of the year to give u a taste of the new product.  The original December release had to be scrapped because of a few issues...mainly you the fans!  We gotta make sure we don't disappoint and trust us that when it's all said and done any gripes will be quelled.

On a side note has anyone ever wondered where they (the preverbal they) get the names for the fonts on your computer from?  Well I decided to google (funny how that has become a verb) Trebuchet, the font I'm typing with.  It turns out it's practically the Atomic Bomb of the Middle Ages.  It is a catapult that would hurl stones continuously to FUCK UP YOUR CASTLE WALLS SON!  Anyways just thought I'd hurl that info at you to try to shake up your defenses.  Hope I was able to breach your barricades of thought.  You know what they say you learn something new everyday.  Salaam!

It's finals week for all us college students, but somewhere between the books and bussle we still find time to bless the mic with that 'mystical mastery making matters mean nought...' and it sounds so good people! Sam is truly talented, she learns quickly and sounds incredible and you should peep more of her music here on myspace. Renewed Vigor!

So we've decided to create more of an internet presence this go around. . it's crazy because you wouldn't think we'd have to. . i mean we crush cyphers, crush tracks, crush shows and any other subsequent form of promotion (you should be nodding in agreement right about now). . Why are we not everyones favorite Hip-Hop group right now? I know! t's because "Prepare for the C-son" isn't yet. (HA!) yea its gonna be a mixtape of mythical proportions . . . "now can you see the phoenix. . "
-C.Write.Krills-

Hello hello hello

is there anybody in there?
just nod if you can hear me,
is there anyone home?

The minds behind the movement have been silently simmering since the summer, slicing deep lines into thick drum slabs, preparing 4 the C-sons, and understanding life through the lense of space consciousness. The simmer has reached a roaring boil and the Godly grails shall soon runneth over to nourish the malnutritioned minds controlled by consumerism and media manipulation. Disk dropping soon...
Until then..

Life in Translation

So we know it's been a while since the last post, but the Man cut off the electricity at the Guild and we've been kickin it medieval style rockin candles and reading books to pass the time these past weeks. All the peacefulness got me to thinking about how life must have been back in the day before electricity and modern technology, and it definitely would have been illlll to be able to discover, design and create the different inventions that would make our lives much more efficient and easy as they are today.

The simplified lifestyle has helped to instill and perpetuate a deep appreciation for life's blessings and though it has slowed the mixtape process, the project is close to completion and when we move into our new crib we're back it it with a vengeance, so expect to hear the new music soon....

As for shows... as already posted the BOWERY POETRY CLUB showcase on the 27th will be crazy, and since the last post, fellow performer, Homeboy Sandman has been named as the Source Magazine's Unsigned Hype for the month of may, so the crowd should be big and we hope you are a part of it.

We also have a show on May 29th at 11:00 pm at the 507 bar on 507 Grand St. in Brooklyn. the venue's dope and we will tear it down so come through and show love, you won't be disappointed!

Big things Brewin for the C-4 Core
in the 2 double-OH 8
so wait
'til the bumpin of the base
knocks the 8 on it's side
and everything is found infinite when it's put into rhyme

PEACE
